2. When deciding upon a network what is
the difference between thin ethernet and cat5 cable with a
hub?
Thin Ethernet cable will connect up to 10
computers (though people have used it for more) together to
share files without the need for a hub. However this type
of network will only work at 10base rather than the much faster
100base supported by the cat5 cable. Additionally if you need
to connect more than 2 computers with CAT5 cable then you
will need to purchase a network hub of either 10 base or 100
base.
