1. I want to set up a small network of
two computers at home. what do I need to buy?
The minimum you will need to buy for a network
is two network cards and a cable to join them. You should
expect to pay from £25 to £50 for a complete kit.
For windows95/98/ME and windows NT and Windows 2000 you will
not need any additional software to get a network up and running
as it is integral to windows itself. You will have a choice
of card types and cable types which is discussed here.
